Robert has had the good fortune of being in this profession, affiliated with Equitable Advisors, since 1986. In that time, he has served in a variety of roles, from supporting experienced Advisors with the technical and tax implications of advanced planning strategies to help their clients handle complex situations, to teaching new financial professionals basic strategies and solutions to help their clients begin the process of putting a plan in place. A good amount of this financial professional support was generating financial plans for the financial professionals' clients and helping the financial professional understand the analysis and what strategies and solutions would best help the client begin moving in the direction of accomplishing their goals. Robert has also helped recruit and bring new people into this business, mentoring them as they learned their profession. Lastly, but certainly not least, Robert has worked directly with clients, face to face, in helping them create their personal financial plans. This last role, helping people identify what is most important to them, their most deeply held values, and aligning their financial goals with those values, is his favorite role. It is also the role he is 100% focused on now.
Robert is a native Charlottean, growing up in the SouthPark area and graduating from Myers Park High School. He and his wife Catherine, also a native Charlottean and MPHS grad, have two daughters. The family volunteers with several area nonprofit organizations, mostly through Myers Park Presbyterian Church connections.
